1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Detex LLC ("DETEX", "we", "us", "our"), a limited liability company registered in Sheridan, Wyoming, United States, uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies (such as local storage) when you visit detexglobal.com and use our application. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies and browser storage?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies such as local storage let a site save small amounts of information in your browser. Both are used to make a site work, to remember your choices, or to save your progress. In this policy we refer to all of these collectively as "cookies and storage".
3. The categories we use
Strictly necessary (always active)
These are required to run the service and cannot be switched off. We use them to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure. They are set through our authentication provider (Supabase) and are only present after you create an account or sign in. Under the EU ePrivacy Directive, storage that is strictly necessary to deliver a service you request does not require consent.
Functional (only with your consent)
These save your in-progress work so that you do not lose it if you navigate away or refresh: specifically, a draft of your intake questionnaire and the status of a document you have started uploading. This storage is set only after you choose "Accept all". If you choose "Essential only", or later withdraw consent, we do not write this data and we remove any that was previously stored.
Third-party support widget
Our pages load a support and chat assistant provided by Abacus.AI. This third-party script may set its own storage to operate the widget. We do not control that storage; please refer to Abacus.AI for details of its processing.
Analytics (only with your consent)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand aggregate site usage (for example, which pages are visited and how visitors move through the site) so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id> to distinguish visitors and sessions. This storage is loaded only after you choose "Accept all" or enable Analytics below. If you choose "Essential only", or later withdraw consent, Google Analytics is not loaded and we remove any analytics cookies already set. You can review how Google processes this data in Google's privacy policy, and you can opt out at any time using the controls below.
No advertising cookies
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not load cross-site tracking tools, advertising pixels or similar trackers.
4. How to control cookies and storage
When you first visit, we show a banner so you can accept functional storage and analytics, or keep only what is essential. You can change your choice at any time, per category, using the controls below. You can also clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings; note that blocking strictly necessary storage may stop you from signing in.
